Shanita lives in Zirobwe, Uganda with her mother, siblings and cousins. Her father abandoned the family and has not provided any support for the children's education or basic needs. Shanita struggles to provide for her own children and nieces and nephews she brought into her care. Shanita has 2 more years of primary school and is at risk for not completing due to her mother's financial struggles in trying to provide school fees for multiple children. Shanita is in great need of a sponsorship in order to complete primary school and be promoted to secondary school. Shanita's favorite subjects in school are English and Science. In her free time she enjoys playing net ball and singing. She dreams of completing school and becoming a doctor.
